Renewable Natural Gas —

Landfill Gas to Fuel

Utah is the fastest-growing state at 18.4%, based on the 2020 Census.  The Bayview Landfill is one of Utah’s largest landfills, with a growing waste acceptance rate and a closure date beyond 2098. Located 20 miles southwest of Provo, in Elberta, the Bayview Landfill has been servicing Utah County's municipal solid waste needs since 1990.

The Bayview Landfill's biogas is upgraded to pipeline quality and injected into Kern River Gas Transmission’s pipeline.

Pine Creek is responsible for all construction, operations, maintenance, and financing for the Bayview RNG facility, including pipelines and interconnections.

Pine Creek RNG has standardized on common Pressure Swing Adsorption gas upgrading, flare & thermal oxidizer, and compression technology for all of its project sites.

Our sites use common controls, are remotely monitored and controlled, report to a central network operations center, and are continually observed for site optimization opportunities.

Pine Creek’s standardization of plant upgrading, combustion & compression hardware, site monitoring & controls, combined with ongoing wellfield monitoring and tuning, significantly lowers the levelized cost ($/MMBtu) of production.
